Jerry Jones Said That The Broncos Playing With A Practice Squad Wide Receiver At Quarterback Is The Same Thing As Having To Start Ben DiNucci

Laugh out loud killshot to Ben DeNucci's entire existence for seemingly zero reason whatsoever. Jerry Jones, the guy who signs your checks and also drafted you, thinks you're about as good at your job as a guy who was barely in the league seven days ago at an entirely different position. Yeah you know that guy who was working a sales job in October? You put him next to DeNucci and Jerry Jones sees the Spider-man meme. Indistinguishable in every way.

I can't tell if this is a good or bad thing for Dak's future earnings in Dallas. On the one hand, Jerry Jones might be petrified to ever use a backup quarterback ever again because he views them as sub-humans who don't deserve to breathe the same air as he. But on the other, more likely, hand: Jerry Jones might think quarterback is the easiest position to fill. You can take any wide receiver off the streets and put him under center and you're probably fine. I'm sure CeeDee Lamb could probably run the offense in a pinch if asked. Nevermind what would happen if he had a couple practices under his belt? Sheesh.
