Victor Oladipo Dodges Questions About Future In Indiana

It's been an up-and-down offseason for Victor Oladipo and his future with the Pacers.

There's been a lot of rumors swirling about how Oladipo wants out of Indiana, was literally asking opposing players if he could come play with them, and yet somehow on Tuesday he met with Indy media to, of course, claim none of it was true.

Hmmm.

Where in the world have we heard this one before???

From IndyStar June 2017 when asking Paul George about his future with the Pacers:

“I’m under contract as a Pacer,” he said. “That’s all that needs to really be known. I’m here. I’m a Pacer. Again, what I’ve been dealing with is stories. You guys talking or teams talking. I’m a Pacer. There’s no way around that. This is my team, my group and this is where I’m at.”

Literally a week later his agent made a statement for him saying he's asking to be traded with his preferred destination being returning to Los Angeles to play for the Lakers. Two weeks later, George was traded to OKC.

Read between the lines, folks. Don't believe everything that's being said. Now, it is a good thing that the Pacers new head coach Nate Bjorkgren has made the effort and connection with Oladipo, but I'm still on where there is smoke there's fire and there was plenty of smoke this offseason surrounding Oladipo not wanting to be in Indiana.
