Grandpa Matz Reacts To Steven Matz Debut

The newest super star in Flushing, NY – Ron Matz. Dude legitimately overshadowed Steven all day long, and Steven had the best debut in Mets history. No exaggeration – best offensive debut in Mets history with just one little extra in addition to his numbers at the plate – he threw 7 2/3 innings and struck out 6. Also played better defense than probably any Met has this season. Still at the end of the day Grandpa Matz is all anybody wants to talk about. Guy got a post game interview for Christ’s sake. And he said exactly what every Mets fan was thinking. Kid is maybe the best hitter in the lineup. I mean this “Holy Shit!” reaction:
