Pardon My Take's Football Guys of the Week Nominees Presented by Philips Norelco - Week 12

Last week, it was a very well-deserved Football Guy of the Week award winner for Daryl Hayes, who literally coached through a heart attack. Now, we have a fresh set of four nominees for Week 12, including two Football Gals. Let's break down this foursome:

HS Coach Justin Pulley - Took the motto "Burn The Ships" literally and burned a real ship to motivate his team before their state championship game

This nomination is courtesy of Billy Football. It is right up his alley and I'll be honest, I would not have seen this one if he didn't bring it to my attention. Thank you, William. What a wild thing to do for a coach, but his team must have loved it. A true Football Guy move.

The niece of ESPN reporter Shelley Smith - Once wore her Ducks jacket to a game vs. Oregon State and got hit in the head with a chunk of ice, which didn’t knock her out, but knocked her silly.

If we were playing Mad Libs, this is probably one of the last things that I'd expect to hear out of Shelley Smith. What an "out of left field" sideline hit. But it was unique, and it has people talking, which is cool. This was a great game.

Vanderbilt K Sarah Fuller - Became the first woman to play in a Power Five college football game.

This is a story that everyone was talking about over the weekend, and deservedly so. The people who are saying this was a bad kick did not realize that this was a designed play. Regardless, we will all remember Sarah Fuller for making history on Thanksgiving weekend in 2020. Awesome to see.

49ers DC Robert Saleh - Said he wakes up in the morning on Thanksgiving and eats pumpkin pie as his appetizer.

Don't lie. Some of you have had pizza for breakfast, others have had steak, chicken, etc. So, what's wrong with a little pumpkin pie? Nothing. Starting off with dessert is a big Football Guy move.
