USF's Uniforms Are in the Running for the Most Preposterous in College Football History

I'm generally all for crazy uniforms in college football. They're recruiting tools that are supposed to look cool to 17-year-old kids and when you view them through that lens, most of them are fine. It takes something really out there for me to raise an eyebrow.

But oh my God, USF is really pushing the envelope today. Something in that ensemble has to be another color. That helmet and pants with a white jersey? Fine. That jersey and pants with a black helmet? Great. But that combination really smacks you in the face.

But hell, when you're the University of South Florida — still not located in South Florida at last check — what the hell, you know? We're talking about them in a game in which they're a four-touchdown underdog, so I guess the uniforms worked in some sense.

And fortunately for USF, they'll never even be able to have the worst college football uniform in its own state, let alone the country. The University of Florida's uniform from its 2017 game against Texas A&M will forever stand alone as the worst uniform in college football history.
