Christian Pastor Promised To Light Himself On Fire If Same-Sex Marriage Got Legalized Nationwide, Time To Pay Up

Addicting Info- Homophobic hate pastor Rick Scarborough, who says he has 44,500 followers prepared to go to join in defense of so-called “traditional marriage,” appears to have promised to set himself on fire to fight gay marriage. While some Christians have promised to divorce if gay marriage passes in their neck of the woods, Scarborough decided he would not be outdone. “We’re simply being preemptive and saying, no matter what the cost, we are not going to bow, we are not going to bend, and we will burn,” Scarborough said on a recent National Emergency Coalition conference call hosted by fellow hatemonger E.W. Jackson.

Alright, moment of truth! Time to put your money where your mouth is, pastor. A promise is a promise. This pastor promised to light himself on fire if same-sex marriage was legalized nationwide and guess what?

(here was a screenshot of CNN.com that says “SAME-SEX MARRIAGE LEGAL NATIONWIDE” but the site is still kinda broke so it wouldn’t work.  So maybe it came up.  Maybe not)

BOO YAH BITCHES!

I don’t know shit about this pastor but if he doesn’t actually light himself on fire then nothing he says holds any water anymore. Any followers he has should abandon him. You can’t just go around throwing around promises and then be a huge pussy when it doesn’t go your way. No no no. That’s not how promises work brotha. Take it like a man. This dude better be taking a gasoline shower right this second. It doesn’t even matter how you feel about gay marriage. That’s not the point. It matters whether or not you think someone should fulfill a promise they made. Pretty sure we can all agree that people who toss around promises and don’t act on them are the worst. Like a friend who doesn’t pay his bets. We’re living in a society. The society has rules. Gay people can now marry. That doesn’t mean we can plunge into utter chaos where people don’t follow through on their promises. LIGHT IT UP, PASTOR!
