Quick Check On The Bengals Again: The Locker Room Is Reportedly Worse Than A College Team And Everyone Fucking Hates The Coaching Staff

[Source] - Multiple sources have described the culture in Cincinnati as more of a “college-level” environment instead of a professional locker room. One member of the team said that the culture didn't even compare to a college locker room.

"It's worse," they said.

Multiple people within the organization believe players are staying quiet because they don't want to lose playing time. They say that there is very little trust between the players and the coaching staff.

There is a complete disconnect and lack of trust between multiple players and coaches in the building according to some affiliated with the team.

They say Anarumo has created an environment where communication and accountability are scarce. He often yells at one player for mistakes and chooses to ignore the mistakes of other players in his favor.

My honest to God initial reaction: uh yeah, no shit. It's the Bengals. They are the most dysfunctional franchise in sports. They make the Knicks look competent and that's saying something. There's a reason this franchise hasn't won a playoff game since 1990. 30 years! That's almost impossible to do. The Lions have won a playoff game in that time - granted it was 1991 - it still counts! The Lions are known more for having stars retire early to get away the game and they still are arguably more successful than the Bengals.

I can't say this is surprising. People in this city have been talking about how Zac Taylor has been awful and how they want him fired. Granted, we didn't know there was this complete disconnect in terms of pretty much every player fucking hating the coaching staff. How do you keep him? You have to fire that entire staff right now.

But again, it's the Bengals. They are losers for a reason. They aren't allowed to win. You can say Mike Brown. You can say all this bad luck with injuries and the Joe Burrow injury does suck. No one is going to make fun of that. But this franchise is destined to be a loser franchise forever. There are certain franchises that just can't win. It doesn't feel right. That may be true for the Bengals more than anyone else.

Just a reminder this has happened in the last few months:

Never change, Cincinnati. You wonderful, loser ass franchise. Never change.
