The Least The Eagles Can Do Now Is Start To Turn On Each Other To Provide Some Entertainment
BREAKING NEWS: The Philadelphia Eagles are a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad football team. From the players to the coaching staff to management to ownership to the folks who do the team's laundry, this entire organization STINKS right now. And it's time to just pull the plug on the whole damn thing. Cancel the season, wrap it up, drop a nuke on this roster and start from scratch.
The only issue is that somehow we still have 6 goddamn weeks left of this misery. 4 of those weeks are guaranteed losses, and the other 2 are toss ups at best. So what are we supposed to do? Watching this team every week already feels like a chore as is. The San Francisco game was an abysmally boring product to watch. Both Giants games could qualify as physical and mental torture under the Geneva Convention. And that game yesterday in Cleveland? I'd rather Elon Musk blast me into space without a protective suit than watch another game like that again.
If the Eagles are going to be this horrific, the least they can do is be a little entertaining in the process. Last year we had the leaks and the entire Orlando Scandrick saga. But as fans, we still had enough faith and hope in the roster that we thought the leaks and rats were the bad guys. What I would do to have that sort of drama right now. Just give me anything at all to have some shred of interest in this team, instead of constantly wishing a SEPTA bus would come crashing through my home at 1:09 pm every Sunday when the Birds are already down by 7.
On the bright side, it sounds like we're getting close to that point. This response from Brandon Graham yesterday when he was asked about potentially making the switch to Jalen Hurts says pretty much all you need to hear about how little of a fuck this team gives about Carson Wentz.
Didn't even think for a moment to defend Carson. Just did everything he could to separate the offense from the defense. In BG's mind, they're two totally separate teams.
This is the start of some serious unravelling. The defense hates the offense, I think the offense hates the coach, the coach hates the media. It's all setting up to be a perfect Shit Storm. One more truly disastrous performance out of this team and I think the lid will finally blow. Good news is the Eagles have lost their last 6 games against the Seahawks, so next Monday seems like a perfect time for the meltdown to commence. Give us chaos. Give us carnage. Give us anything at all besides having to sit through these games wanting to mix a few shots of bleach into your life.
Go Birds.
