You Almost Have To Respect Auburn Banning Themselves From The NCAA Tournament This Year Because They Are Going To Suck Anyways

One of my favorite things in the world that make no sense are these postseason bans. It's all a plan by teams to try and show the NCAA they are handling it in house so they don't get punished as much. Almost have to respect the move by Auburn here though. First, they drop the news in the middle of NFL Sunday, less than 72 hours before the start of the season. It's an absolute fuck you move to all the kids on the team since they are stuck there now. Second, you have to respect it because Auburn wasn't going to be that good this year anyways. Sure they have 5-star Sharife Cooper coming in, but they lose their top 6 players and don't return anyone who scored 5 points per game. It's genius! 

This of course is in response to the FBI investigation into college hoops from a couple years ago. Yep, still going on as the NCAA sent out notice of allegations to all the schools. Auburn had assistant coach Chuck Person arrested and allegations of him providing $11,000 to one family and $7,500 to another so their kids end up at Auburn. Just shows how stupid this whole thing is. The fact that players can't get money led to this illegal activity which is still outrageous to say out loud. 

Finally you have this season which is a complete shit show. We don't know who is playing who (more on that later) and everyone is scrambling just to make sure there is a NCAA Tournament, no matter what month it's in. Auburn is taking advantage of that. A year they are going to suck, a year with all this shit going on they just drop this. It's bullshit for every player involved since now they have no reason to play this year. They got fucked over by the administration by not even giving them a chance for the postseason. That right there is one of the biggest problems with the NCAA. Whenever punishments come out they end up punishing people not connected the violation at all. I hope every player leaves Auburn right now.
