Ryan Reynolds And Rob McElhenney Just Officially Became Owners Of Wrexham Soccer Team And Dropped The Perfect Video To Announce It

Fuck yes. It's official and America just got their favorite random soccer team that is coming off a 19th place finish in the fifth-highest league over in England. It was only a matter of time, but it's official. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are the official owners of Wrexham AFC. It's fucking awesome. They dropped their pitch a couple weeks ago which included turning the team into a global force while also promising to get drunk with fans.

Remember, Wrexham - a Welsh soccer club - was actually owned by fans. Those fan owners were the ones who had to vote on letting Mac and Reynolds take over the club. Absolute no-brainer. The moment they said they wanted to drink with fans I would have voted yes right away. Wrexham just became the coolest club in the entire world. I'm ready to buy a Wrexham jersey. I'm looking into buying a TV package to where I can watch Wrexham. We gotta support this club to make its way up the ladder and into the EPL. What would be better than Reynolds and Mac getting to the Premier League? Especially when you consider they are doing a whole Netflix documentary on this.

But look at that announcement video again. Absolute perfection. Pitching their sponsor? Perfectly executed. Two kings of comedy now owning a soccer team. Somehow it's even better if you picture them specifically as Van Wilder and Mac. Sidenote, The Racecourse Ground is an A+ name for a stadium. So let's go Wrexham, America's favorite Welsh soccer team.

PS: Wrexham's social media gets it
