Johnny Depp Is Leaving Fantastic Beasts After Being Asked To Resign By Warner Brothers

This comes on the heels of him losing his libel case vs News Group Newspapers, publishers of The Sun across the pond, for their article headlined "How can JK Rowling be 'genuinely happy' casting wife-beater Johnny Depp in the new Fantastic Beasts film?". While Depp was really knee deep in shit, Rowling was really eating it for standing by the Depp casting. When he survived that period, I just assumed he was going to make it the whole way. That doesn't seem to be the case, though, as this role will now be recast for the for the final film in the trilogy. 

I'll be honest with you guys, I don't give a shit. Both of the first fantastic beasts movies were boring as all hell and weren't worth the Adobe After Effects subscription they were made with, particularly the second one. 

This is all to say nothing about whether or not he deserved to be canned. No matter which side you land on with his domestic issues, I don't think it matters because the more important point is that these movies suck and the character isn't worth going back to anyway. I'm sure the third movie will come out just as planned anyway and it will make a boat ton of 500 mil like the other two (in an ideal theater situation, which it probably won't release into) and J.K. Rowling will continue to get shit on for making transphobic comments. Wash, rinse, repeat.
