Dailymail - An American woman who attempted to cross the Pacific by rowboat has ended her solo attempt because of bad weather. Sonya Baumstein, 30, from Orlando, Florida was rescued off the Japanese coast on Saturday after sending out a distress signal, Kyodo news agency reported on Sunday.Baumstein departed from Choshi, Japan, one week ago, hoping to become the first woman to row solo across the Pacific. She was headed for San Francisco but sent out the signal on Saturday around 2:20 p.m. about 250 kilometers (155 miles) off the coast of Japan. Baumstein was hoping to finish the 6,000-mile (9,600-kilometer) journey by late September.

Like I got no problem if you want to attempt a circus stunt like this just don’t call me when you’re about to die. That’s on you. I mean is this chick made it 155 miles out of 6,000 before she called for help? That’s 2% of her journey. And she said she cancelled it because she ran into bad weather? Oh you didn’t think you’d run into any bad weather from now till September? Get the fuck out of here with this shit. The only way to stop this madness is let these people die the death they deserve. That at least I could respect. But making all this commotion and then quitting 1 second into it? You don’t deserve to live.
