The Original Jurassic Park Theme Is Currently Skyrocketing Up The Charts Because It's A Goddamn Masterpiece

EW – Jurassic World hits theaters today, but the action franchise’s original installment is stealing some of its thunder. Twenty-two years after Jurassic Park came out, the film’s John Williams-penned theme has become a Top 10 hit on a Billboard chart, breaking through to No. 6 on the June 13 edition Classical Digital Songs survey.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – If this exact piece were composed by Mozart or someone in the 18th century it would be looked at as one of the classical masterpieces today. One of those beautiful compositions conductors would call their musicians “Cocksmokers” over because they couldn’t play to their tempo. John Williams can do no wrong. Seriously. He’s conducted the themes to Jurassic Park, Star Wars, E.T., Jaws, Superman, Indiana Jones, motherfucking Home Alone. All certified classics.

Now do yourself a favor, close your eyes and listen away your worries to the best rendition of the Jurassic Park theme right here:
