Congratulations To The Los Angeles Lakers, Winning 12 NBA Titles Is Impressive

Congratulations on the Los Angeles Lakers for winning their 12th NBA title tonight. They actually pulled it off. LeBron got his fourth ring, Anthony Davis his first, and they did it in dominant blowout fashion. There are few better feelings than being able to watch your favorite team win a title in a blowout. Nothing but stress free celebration. Now before we go any further please just take a minute and pour one out for yours truly. People think this blogging stuff is all rainbows and butterflies, well I'm about to spend the rest of my night bloggin a goddamn Lakers championship. A franchise I have despised my entire existence. LeBron, a player who has tormented my life along with my favorite Celtics point guard ever just won a title together. But this isn't about me. This is the moment for Lakers fans everywhere. Even if you are some of the most insufferable assholes on the planet, this is your night. You get to have this moment and talk that shit. That's what happens when you win a title.
Best team all year, the Lakers entered the bubble and mostly waited for the playoffs to start. Once they did LA got off to a 14-3 start. LeBron and AD were other worldly these entire Finals. I don't really know how else to describe it. There was no answer from Miami for either of those guys at any point in this series. Just take Game 6 for example. Another triple double for LeBron on 10-16 shooting and a moderate 19/14 for Davis. On the defensive end, Anthony Davis did everything. A huge reason why the Heat looked like so much shit is because they were all terrified of Anthony Davis. He made them double think layups and easy bunnies, he blocked everything that came at him, it was lights out. Then on the offensive end with LeBron, I mean what are you going to do when he decides to be aggressive? He's too big, he's too strong. This thing got out of hand quickly in the second quarter and that was that.
Some will say this was destined to happen. That it was for Kobe. I don't know about all that but I understand what a moment this must be for Lakers/Kobe fans. Has to be pretty damn emotional.
In terms of what this means for LeBron? You'll hear a lot of GOAT talk I'm sure. You know who it'll come from. Looking at what he did in this Finals
Game 1: 25/13/9 on 52/50%
Game 2: 33/9/9 on 56/27%
Game 3: 25/10/8 on 56/20%
Game 4: 28/12/8 on 50/40%
Game 5: 40/13/7 on 71/66$
Game 6: 28/14/10 on 65%/25%
it was simply ridiculous. I think it's safe to say he showed up. Not like this is really anything new for LeBron if you look at his recent Finals history, but he very much still looks like the most dominant player in the league when he plays aggressive. The LeBron/AD duo proved to be just as dominant as any of the previous great Lakers pairings. Truly dominant on both ends of the floor. That's why they're the champs.

All in all it was a 10 year drought in between Lakers titles. Good for them.
