Arkansas Was Robbed Of An Upset Over Auburn By The SEC Officials

With 2:45 left, Auburn gifted Arkansas a missed FG. They ended up stopping them on the following 3 downs and got the ball back around mid-field. 

To stop of the clock before a FG attempt, Bo Nix went to spike the ball. It did not go well.

Somehow, someway, this was called an incomplete pass on the review:

I'm open to anyone telling me how this isn't a fumble, but I'm confused as to how it couldn't be one? He threw the ball backwards? Weird.
