Welcome back to another week of getting rich playing daily fantasy, and by rich, I mean hovering around even. Usually will have these on a Tuesday-Wednesday-Friday schedule but had some extra time to kill today and liked the slate so might as well throw an entry in.

Recapping back to Friday –

Had a pretty good night, cashed in the Payoff Pitch. Big shout out to the dude who emailed me randomly saying “play Josh Hamilton tonight.” Owe that guy a beer.

Now on to tonight…

PITCHER

Jason Hammel $7.8K

Felix is the obvious play tonight, and Cole and DeGrom should be right up there in points. But for my value I’m dipping down to Jason Hammel. He’s looked good recently, has been averaging around 8Ks, and has a nice matchup against a team with exactly 1 scary hitter in the lineup. A scary guy who stinks at hitting sliders. Feel like it should be pretty easy to come up with a gameplan for that scenario.

HITTERS

1B Paul Goldschmidt $5.3K

Think it’s a 2 horse race tonight at 1B and with everyone probably jumping on A-Gon because of the Coors effect, I’ll zag while they zig and go with the hottest hitter in baseball for just .3K more. The total in this one is just as high as COL/LAD and should be plenty of runs with Goldy right in the middle of it. His last 3 games? 19,35,26 in case you were wondering.

4.8K LOL. Watch the rain in this one but if it looks like they’re gonna play I could not think of a more automatic lock for my lineup than a 4.8K Bryce Harper.

Rainout Pivot: Joc Pederson $4.9K

3B Matt Carpenter $4.3K

Feel like this guy is just constantly under the radar and constantly producing. Fiers can rack up Ks with the best of them but he also gives up a ton of hits, I could definitely see Carpenter going 4 for 4 in this with a couple of runs.

C Yasmani Grandal $4.2K

Ok I’m not gonna get too cute and avoid Coors altogether, so catcher is a good spot to get exposure to it. Always a tough spot to fill and Grandal can easily go deep in this one.

Downside of writing this up early before lineups come out…Grandal not playing tonight.

Catcher pivot – Probably go with Miggy Montero.

Value Play 2B Jace Peterson $3.4K

There is a 0.000% chance I pay 5K for Howie freaking Kendrick tonight and, like I said, that Braves/DBacks game looks ripe for some runs. Peterson has been boom or bust lately with a lottttt of boom potential for this price.

Or watch out for Alex Guerrero depending on if he plays/where he bats, but as of post time it’s impossible to tell what that guy’s deal is going to be later on.
