OH MY GOD, RONALD FROM THE TOP ROPE!

After Trevor Bauer talked shit about how the Reds would be moving past the braves and into the NLDS, Ronald Acuña took a very thinly veiled shot at the Reds' starter after Atlanta swept Cincinnati out of the Postseason on Thursday.

Here's what Bauer had to say prior to the series:

And for those who might be slightly confused by Acuña's tweet — given that it has Marc Gasol in it — Bauer has been known to do that same Conor McGregor celebration often. And he was not shy about doing it towards the Braves in Game 1, either.

That poor guy just got murdered on Twitter by a 22-year-old who also just helped eliminate him from the Postseason — and smacked a doouble off him in what was the hardest-hit ball against Bauer all season. That can't feel good.

I have generally liked most of Bauer's stuff off the field, particularly on social media, but watching some of the stuff he pulled on Wednesday makes this feel pretty sweet. He deserves anything that any opposing player throws at him — and to his credit, I think he'd agree with that.

But the bottom line remains that Ronald Acuña Jr. is not only better, but also exponentially cooler than your favorite player. Stay hot, Ronnie.

We're on to the NLDS.
