The 'Fucking Nightmare' Cincinnati Reds Just Became the First Team in MLB History to Be Eliminated From the Postseason Without Scoring a Run

Less than a week after Joey Votto declared that the Cincinnati Reds were going to be a "fucking nightmare," they were promptly swept out of the Postseason without scoring a run in 22 innings. Not a single run!

This is one of those things that you just absolutely hate to see. I mean, all I heard for a week was how nobody wants to play the Reds and how they're going to be a "problem." It tuns out the only real problem was their bats.

And then you think about all the incredibly likable guys Cincinnati has such as Votto and Trevor Bauer and it just becomes that much harder to swallow. Those guys are nothing but pure class all around.

Whoops.

But damn, it feels good to win a Postseason series in such convincing fashion — whether we count this as a series win or not is subject to change based on whether this round remains part of the Postseason past this year or not. It turns out the "fucking nightmare" is the team everybody should have wanted to play all along.

We're on to the NLDS. Everybody has been underestimating the Atlanta Braves all year long and they're coming for the whole damn thing. I'm looking forward to finding out our next opponent and then beating the hell out of that team, too.
