If there was a songwriting hall of fame, that's a first ballot inductee if I've ever seen one. It doesn't make any sense but it also makes all the sense all at the same time. 

The song is 7:28 of pure rock n roll. Sometimes I wonder what the legacy of Champagne Supernova is- do people still talk about it? Listen to it? Play it on the radio? It's always been the Robin to "Wonderwall"'s Batman, but if I had to pick one for the rest of my life, I go Champagne Supernova every time.
