Daddy's home. I repeat. Daddy is home. Baseball had its chance while the Yankees entire lineup was dead sans Luke Voit. Now everyone is back to destroy the world. These sickos scored 20 on the Jays last night without breaking a sweat. This lineup is going to be laughable moving forward. Expect some rest days for Judge and Stanton as they ease back in, but come postseason time I'm not sure how a pitcher attacks this group of gentleman.
You're going to be looking at a postseason lineup looking something like this. Keep in my mind this is what I expect to see, and not my personal preference.
2B DJ LeMahieu
RF Aaron Judge
CF Aaron Hicks
DH Giancarlo Stanton
SS Gleyber Torres
1B Luke Voit
LF Clint Frazier
C Gary Sanchez/Kyle Higashioka
3B Gio Urshela
If it were up to me I'd have Gleyber in the 3 hole, Voit hitting cleanup and Stanton 5th, but they won't do that.
I mean Luke Voit leads the league in home runs and will be hitting somewhere in the 5-6 range. Just laughable. By the way, get your new Voit merch now!
Clint Frazier is your 7 hitter when he easily could be 2 or 3. Gleyber Torres is hitting 5th. Gio Urshela turning the lineup over. I mean my goodness. Good luck.
Gerrit Cole on the bump tonight. Aaron Judge is back. Let's fucking cook.
