One Year Ago Today The Steelers Traded For Minkah Fitzpatrick And It's Been Glorious

Boy did this one take us by surprise. 

Grumblings had started early last year that Minkah was unhappy and wanted out of Miami because, well, at the time they were looking like a complete shit show. 

Like every fanbase, when you see a player like that on the market, and a need on your team for a player like that you immediately get out the conspiracy board and start trying to plug your story together to convince yourself it'll work, but you know deep down it won't. 

It rarely ever does. 

Then during a Monday Night Football game Schefty went all Woj Bomb and made our dreams come true. Holy shit. The Steelers actually went out and got Minkah Fitzpatrick.  

5 INTs, 2 touchdowns, 1 forced fumble, 2 recovered fumbles and an All-Pro selection later and the Steelers locked in one of their final pieces needed to make the Pittsburgh Steelers defense great again. 

A lot, and I mean A LOT of people were coming out with their hot takes about how horrible of a trade this was for Pittsburgh (i'll get to that later), but this dude made an immediate impact from the second he put on the black & yellow. Game 1 in San Fran without a full week in the system under his belt: 

1 INT. 1 forced fumble.
