It Does Not End: The Yankees Get Giancarlo Stanton and Gio Urshela Back From The I.L. But Now Of Course Gleyber Torres' Quad Is Bothering Him Again

Today the Yankees were expected to get healthier with the returns of Gio Urshela and Jonathan Loaisiga from the injured list. Well, when the announcement came a little after 3:00 local time we got an additional surprise of Giancarlo Stanton's arrival from the alternate site. Fantastic! G wasn't expected back until the weekend series against Boston so this was pretty sweet considering tonight kicsk off a big series with the Jays. Need everyone guy you possible for this series as the Yankees try to catch Toronto for 2nd in the AL East.

Of course that good news had to be met with bad news. It's impossible for this team to just receive only positive news. It has to be met with negativity. What was that today? As you scroll the lineup and see G and Gio back in there you can't help but notice the disappearance of Gleyber Torres. WHY?

On Sunday there was frustration from the vast majority of fans with Torres not being in there with an off day coming the following day (yesterday). Gleyber ended up pinch hitting late and smacked the go-ahead/game-winning two run double off the O's. Dude has been raking since coming off the injured list and we need him in the lineup every single day moving forward (9 G: .360/.467/.680 6 XBHs 7 RBIs).

Now, a day removed from the final off-day of the season, he is nowhere to be seen. Boone is calling it a "bit of a quad injury." This would imply Gleyber had something going on with said quad before entering Sunday. When he first headed to the injured list he had a strained quad and hamstring. Now that same quad is still barking. Boone claims if tonight was a playoff game he would be playing, but I'm not buying a word that man says after how the Judge situation was handled. Gleyber may in fact be fine, but it sucks he was cooking the way he was and now has to deal with this quad bullshit. Leave Gleyber's health alone, take my quad. Take my leg. I don't need it.

We simple cannot have nice things. It's im-fucking-possible.
