Are There Really People Extremely Upset With Bob Kraft Right Now?
First, let me say that I understand that this is a vast minority of the population. You’re never going to please everyone with a decision. But, even one person not believing in Robert Kraft is one too many. #SellthePatriots? He threw his fan base under the bus? He’ll live to rue the day? You sound like fucking idiots. Kraft is a businessman who’s never made a bad business decision in his life. It’s well documented that there were back room hugs last night and today Kraft drops the appeal. I’m not sure what the plea deal was, but there clearly was one. It might not even be about Brady and we may never know what it was, but there was a deal. That’s obvious. And even if I never find out what it was, I’ll trust that Bob Kraft made the right play.
People who are mad right now are like a girlfriend that gets pissed if you don’t hit a guy because he cut her in line at the bar. They just want to see carnage, and want Bob to stick up for them, even if it doesn’t make any sense at all. You want him to go punch the giant in the mouth just because you feel insulted, he’d rather keep sipping his drink, making billions of dollars, and go home unscathed. I can’t get mad at him for that. Of course I wanted to see him cut Goodell’s throat too, but looking at it objectively I completely understand the move. Why continue a bloody fight that will probably have no winners when you can just get back to making money hand over fist? It’s not the outcome I necessarily hoped for, but I’ll be damned if I start second guessing the folks over at 1 Patriot Place now.
