Trysta's Teasers: SUNDAY UPDATE For Your WNBA Picks For The Weekend

I’m still hot -- 12-5 in my last seventeen (71% ATS NBD). Going to try and carry this heat over the finish line as we head toward the playoffs. Only four days left in the WNBA regular season, and seven of the eight playoff teams have already been set, although first round byes are still in play.

A nice slate of games with seeding implications tonight.

Atlanta takes on Connecticut in the 7:00 EDT game. The opening line has the Suns -6 (o166.5) before a MASSIVE drop to Suns -2.5 (o165.5). Huge line changes from opening mean lots of money coming in on the Dream. Despite Atlanta being trash vomit most of the year they have not been eliminated from playoff contention. The Dream have played better of late and are 4-1 ATS; the Suns are 4-2 ATS. Suns guard Bria Holmes is out while Atlanta’s Kalani Brown (C) is questionable. The over is a reasonable bet in this game.

THE PICK: Connecticut -2.5

The second game of the night features Chicago vs Dallas, in a game with serious playoff ramifications. Dallas is holding on to the #8 seed in the playoffs, and is -5 (o168.5) on the opening line that changed only slightly to Dallas -5.5 (o170). Chicago has been ATROCIOUS ATS of late (1-6) while Dallas is on a heater (6-2 ATS). Dallas is also an over MACHINE going 8-2 in their last 10. Rookie sensation Satou Sabally (shout out OREGON DUCKS) is out for the Sky, and while her 13.9 PPG will be sorely missed, it’s the lack of her presence in the middle that will be most felt (8 rebounds and 1 block per game).

THE PICK: Dallas -5.5

The final game is another with seeding implications. The Seattle Storm take on the surging Phoenix Mercury, who look to knock off the Minnesota Lynx and steal the first round bye. Lots on the line for them. Seattle is -4.5 (o162.5) on the opening line and moved up to -5 (o164.5). The Storm started the Wubble as a solid ATS bet but have gone 2-6 of late; the surging Mercury are 6-1 ATS (7-1 straight up). A Phoenix ML bet (+178) might be the call in this game, especially since Sue Bird, Breonna Stewart, and Morgan Tuck for the Storm are all questionable.

THE PICK: Mercury +4.5

As always, I'll update this blog over the weekend, and always remember, these women can make you money.

SATURDAY UPDATE

Well we took a bump last night with a 1-2 (Mercury shit the bed against a banged up Seattle Storm) but we moving on!

The early game today is Washington vs New York. The only truly consistent thing all year is the New York Liberty against the spread (3-9-1 ATS). The Mystics are 4-1 ATS of late after a ROUGH start in the Wubble. The Liberty are missing Layshia Clarendon (G) today, while the Mystics are without Stella Johnson (G). Washington should have enough to cover the -4.5 (o159.5) on the opening line, which moved FAST to -8 (o157).

THE PICK: Mystics -8

The second game is a banger between Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The opening line had Vegas as -4.5 (o167.5) before moving down to -4 (o168). Sparks are 4-1 ATS and Vegas only 2-4-1 ATS of late. Both teams have been hitting the over of late. Both Sparks guards Tierra Ruffin-Pratt and Sydney Wiese are banged up and questionable.

THE PICK: o167.5

The final game of the day is the Minnesota Lynx against the Indiana Fever. Minnesota opened as a -6.5 (o169.5) before it settled at -7 (o169). Strange game; the Lynx need a win to secure a first round bye. The Fever have been swooning (2-5 ATS) and just 1-8 in their last nine. Minnesota has been an over machine (5-1 of late) so that may be something to look at. Lynx guard Lexie Brown is doubtful Saturday, while Lauren Cox is questionable for the Fever.

THE PICK: Fever +7

We’ll be back tomorrow to preview the Sunday games and help make you some money!

SUNDAY UPDATE

Cooled off a bit but we’re plowing through to the end of the WNBA regular season. Hand up -- betting on the Fever +7 against the Lynx was probably not a smart idea. Oh well. We’re back at it again today.

The first game features the New York Liberty, coming off another drab performance Saturday, against the Dallas Wings. Dallas is -8.5 (o160.5) on the opening line before moving to -9.5 (o160). Don’t overthink -- just bet against the Liberty any time they play. It’s like money in the bank. Astou Ndour (C), Allisha Gray (G) and Katie Lou Samuelson (G) are all doubtful for the Wings, and it won't matter.

THE PICK: Dallas -8.5

The second game on ABC is your marquis match up maybe of the year: the Seattle Storm vs the Las Vegas Aces, with both teams coming of impressive wins. Seattle is -1.5 (o165.5) on the opening line and stayed at those number (Vegas even and Storm -120 on ML). Seattle is just 3-6 ATS of late while the Aces have rattled of a 5-0 ATS. Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart are questionable, but they were also out Friday night against a game Phoenix and they blew their doors off.

THE PICK: Las Vegas Aces ML (Even)

The final game of the WNBA regular season is the Washington Mystics vs the Atlanta Dream. This is the game with playoff implications, which makes it a tough game to bet. The two teams righted the ship too late (Mystics 6-1 ATS, Dream 5-1 ATS). Tianna Hawkins (F) and Stella Johnson (G) are out for the Mystics while Kalani Brown (C) is questionable for the Dream.

THE PICK: Washington and the points (as of 11:30 a.m. the line hasn’t dropped)*

Well, that’s it for the WNBA regular season. It’s been a WILD one but we’ve made money this year, and I hope you did too. We’ll be popping in for the WNBA playoffs, which by the way will all be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC. So we’ll have a second chance to make some cash!
