This Seems Like An Aggressive Way To Sharpen Your Skates
They do things a little differently over in Soviet Russia. We've heard stories about how some KHL owners can't afford to pay their players, so do you really think they're going to shell out the money for a skate sharpener? For sure not. He'll either hand you a rock and you can sharpen your skates yourself by hand. Or you can tie a tow rope to a taxi and go for a quick spin around the block.
Or you don't even have to sharpen your skates at all because you'll be so hopped up on Russian Gas that you could hit the ice in a pair of rollerblades and you'd still be buzzin around out there. But the next time you're at the pro shop in your local rink and there's a line of 8 skates ahead of you to get cut, just be thankful you don't live in Russia where you have to skitch a car around the rink just to get that 5/8" radius.
Sidenote: I know they took the audio out of the original video and put the music over top, but I can still hear those blades digging through the pavement and it makes me want to die.
