The Orioles FINALLY Beat The Yankees And Snap Their 19 Game Losing Streak Vs New York

Do you believe in miracles???? After falling in extras in Game 1 of a doubleheader that was the Birds 19th straight loss to the Bronx Bombers, the Orioles started quick in game 2. Ryan Mountcastle hit his third career HR, his first in Camden and it was no cheapie. That BOMBBBBB that gave them a 2 run lead. After some back and forth the Orioles finally got to Deivi García for four runs and then they welcomed Clarke Schmidt to the bigs by roughing him up in his MLB debut. Ryan Mountcastle had a hand in that, as you would expect.

It was a hell of a bounce back game after getting the wind taken from their sails in Game 1 after the best player on the team, Anthony Santander, left with an oblique injury after trying to hit one in extras into the harbor. The game started at like 9:30 PM and despite losing 19 in a row to the Yankees, they didn't fold up shop.

This win also stopped the Yankees from extending their American League modern day record setting 18 game win streak in Camden Yards. New York had also homered in 22 straight games against Baltimore and that's another streak that was stopped, so it was a pretty good Friday night for the Birds as they broke several embarrassing streaks that the Yankees had going. It had got to the point where I was convinced the Orioles would never beat those guys again. For their reward? They get Gerrit Cole, but no worries because Cole has been serving up homers like they're going out of the style. Now time for us to start a 19 win streak of our own.
