Just wanted to get this breaking news story up on the blog real quick with credit to the original source. I'm sure Hubbs will have more details on this later, but the Yankees calling up their top pitching prospect is a pretty huge story. Really happy for Clarke Schmidt. He's an electric factory and the Yankees are lucky to have him. Maybe if they had called him up at the start of the season, they wouldn't have come into play today tied with the Blue Jays for second place, five games back of the first-place Rays. Anyways, congrats, Clarke!
