The correct move. I am just glad they pulled the trigger on it. Peterson played admirably the last 2 seasons with the WFT, but with Bryce Love looking so strong in camp, Antonio Gibson about to take over the world, and J.D. McKissic's pass-catching abilities, they went with Peyton Barber over Peterson, which I am fine with.
Honestly, Barber will probably get a few more carries than we'd like to see at the beginning of the year, but I do not expect him to be active the entire season. I love the idea of the 3 headed monster at RB with Love, Gibson, and JD. If Gibson shows early on that he can quickly adjust to the NFL game, he should get a ton of touches as the season goes on. Sky is the limit for him.
APAD should sign on somewhere else, but the WFT chose to skew young, which is something I was confused about last year when he was getting the bulk of the caries. We would be losing a game 45-0 and not giving the young guys the rock, never made sense to me. Finally some common sense out of the Football Team, which is nice to see.
Antonio Gibson SZN, can't wait.
