I know Chris Webber can get a lot of flack for what he says while he calls games because often times it can be little ridiculous, but him talking about the players' strike and everything going on right now is not one of those moments. That was some powerful stuff. Who cares what side you're on, be a human and listen to what he's saying. Look at his reaction. For a lot of us we'll never truly understand his reality and the reality for so many others and it's important to hear stuff like this.
Ever since this news first broke, a lot of the responses have been surrounding what the players want or what they think will change as a result of their decision. To me, that's missing the point. Something like this is not going to change quickly. History has told us that. But that doesn't mean you sit there and don't do anything. That doesn't mean you shouldn't fight for what you believe in and do something within your power to help spark eventual change.
I'll say it again, I don't know what the answer is. I don't know what the next move is. But I do know it's important to talk about this stuff and even more important to listen.
