That...was.....AWESOME.
The signs were always there. Gordon Bombay is a menacing, deranged lunatic who infiltrated the lives of these families from inside just so he could torment these kids. Don't get me wrong, I think Bombay is an awesome coach who was able to get the best out of his players. You don't beat the Hawks in the PeeWee State Finals and follow that up by beating Team Iceland at the Junior Goodwill Games without being an elite coach. But can you also be an elite psychopath on the side? A borderline monster, even?
Of course you can. Plenty of great coaches and leaders throughout history were. Doesn't change the fact that he got the job done at multiple levels. But yeah. Maybe when you look at it a different way, tying Goldberg to the posts and turning practice into a firing range was a little...well...sinister.

Anyway, I think we deserve a full version of this recut because I'm starting to get worried that the new series coming out on Disney+ is going to suck aggressively hard. Would be real interesting to see how that whole stealing Adam Banks away from the Hawks situation went down.
