Jayson Tatum And Jaylen Brown Just Had Their Way With The Process

Well well well would you look at that. A team's two young franchise cornerstones coming up huge in a playoff series. No, of course not I'm not talking about the Sixers, Joel Embiid had the quietest 26/16 I've ever seen. He was basically a non factor after that initial run in the first quarter. What a defensive scheme by Brad. There's the guy I know and love.

You know who did make an impact? The two Jays. Pick one, doesn't matter, both were absolutely sensational. A combined 61 points, Jaylen with 11 huge fourth quarter points, Tatum doing it all with his 32/13, it doesn't get much better than that.

With no Ben Simmons in the lineup there is not a player on this roster who can stay in front of either of these guys. What happened to Thybulle? I was told time and time again that he was an elite defender. What about the 180M they paid Tobias Harris, does that come with defense? Or is the play to just let Alec Burks take all the shots down the stretch as well? I know I didn't see Horford on the bench to close too. That's 100M well spent.

Obviously it wasn't perfect. Gordon Hayward fucked up his ankle and probably won't play in Game 2. Hopefully Jaylen's quad doesn't get worse. Game 2 is going to be every bit a dogfight as Game 1. But the thing is this team loves a dogfight. They are ready for it. To think they can play so much better is a relief.

We'll have more tomorrow, but tonight we enjoy the first of what is hopefully many playoff wins to come. Cheers

1 down. 3 to go.
