Jose Altuve Is Completely Lost Playing The Game Of Baseball Right Now And It's Music To My Ears

2020 has been a shitty year overall for everyone, but if there's one glimmer of happiness it's been how miserable and lost Jose Altuve looks playing baseball. Dude looks like he was just punished by his dad in the middle of a little league game for talking back to the umpire. Left in the stands with no one but himself to reflect on how he somehow got to this point. 

This dude, by no stretch or exaggeration, is having a disaster season through a quarter of the way through. Just look at this quote from his manager Dusty Baker.

Seems cheating the game for years finally got to him. Even with no fans in the stands to vilify him, it appears the background noise on social media and throughout league has ruined him mentally. Turns out he may just stink when he doesn't know what pitch is coming. Through 75 at bats he's hitting a scorching .187 and has collected himself a -0.3 bWAR. He's also swinging and missing on almost 20% more breaking balls than he normally does. Hmmm, wonder why!

The other day he resorted to bunting for a hit and ended up hitting the ball twice with his bat. Yikes. 

It's not just at the plate either. He was picked off BADLY at first a few games ago. 

And while playing in Oakland last week he committed three errors in one inning. This is awesome.

I'd say I feel bad, but I'd be completely lying to you. I hope this continues for the whole season. You could not have scripted a better start to the 2020 season for the Houston Astros. I love this song and want it on repeat forever.
