I mean did Crosby even have a chance to unpack his bags at the hotel in Toronto? I'm sure he probably only wears the same 8 shirts and 7 pants each week so it's not like it was a ton to unpack. But now this dork gets to head back to Cole Harbour for a nice birthday dinner with the family after the Penguins get bounced from the bubble. Sure do hate to see it. And a shutout no less. Whole season on the line and these bozos can't even get a single puck past Carey Price. Always a tough scene when we've got more ear cuffs on your team than goals scored.
Meanwhile, the Flyers play the Tampa Bay Lightning tomorrow with a chance at getting the 1st seed in the Eastern Conference. It's a shame we won't get to see a classic Philly vs Pittsburgh matchup in these playoffs but oh well. Such is life. Ce la vie.
Sidenote: I don't even want to hear people talking about Lafreniere now ending up in Pittsburgh with the Pens getting that 1st overall pick. Don't even speak it into existence. Plus, it makes way more sense for the NHL to do everything they can to put Lafreniere in Nashville now.
