This Graph Is Why I Hate Coronavirus The Most

World Health Organization chiefs first claimed the infection-fatality rate was 3.4 per cent but this week changed their estimate to 0.6 per cent.
We've been dealing with this shit for at least a half a year, but more like 9 months for now, depending on how you look at it. 6 months of quarantine (mid-March) and another few months on top of that where Corona was basically the Kool-Aid Man threatening to bust down a brick wall at any given time.
And of course, per usual, it got INSANELY politicized. Insanely, just like everything else does these days. Hey news flash republicans, news flash democrats - you're all assholes. President Trump could fucking slip on a banana peel and the left would throw their arms up in dismay, and Biden could have a typo on Twitter and the right would be screaming bloody murder about his mental capacity, or lack thereof.
That, and EVERYONE is adept at EVERYTHING. Everyone has become a political expert and to you all I say "fuck off". Take my tweet from yesterday:
I saw the video of the explosion probably around 11am for the first time because I was streaming with Smitty. People thought I was serious here, and yes, the delivery was admittedly (very?) shitty, but I logged on to twitter.com and anyone with >100 followers was all of a sudden a demolitions/bomb/warfare expert.
I can't believe I have to say this, but anyone who thought I actually believe I'm any sort of expert in anything at all because I play a video game extremely poorly is the one with the problem. Not me.
Now I didn't think it was because a bunch of black cats from Krazy Kaplan's went off. Yes, it looked like a bomb. But all of a sudden I have one side calling me a zionist scumbag, the other side saying it was Hezbollah. Hmmmm…. seems to me that it'd be pretty difficult to be both simultaneously, so which one am I?
The point is that people that jump to political conclusions are the absolute fucking WORST. Every single thing on this early is politicized and it is just so exhausting. And to get back to my original point, so has COVID and it has been politicized a LOT. Every time I see a graph like the one above my head wants to explode like the white supremacist in Chappelle's Show
WHICH ONE IS IT!!! Do we wear masks or are the useless? Should we strive for herd immunity or does that not work? Do we close down EVERYONE, fuck with the economy and completely stop its economic flow, or should we be open for bidness? Should we be scared of contracting this thing, or is the mortality rate about 1 in 1000 people? WHAT'S THE FUCKING ANSWERS. I cannot stand seeing shit like this at ALL anymore. Nobody can. We're all sick of it.
And yes, I know it's a new virus and we're all learning on the fly. But still - nobody is on the same page and to me, that's why it seems like we're running in place and will be for the foreseeable future.
So, scientists - figure it the fuck out. We are depending on you to be the voice of reason because we cannot count on our politicians and "leaders" to be that. Please get on the same page and give us a playbook on how to beat this thing because we're all fucking sick of it.
