Season 1 of Amazon’s “The Boys” was a revelation. A clever, razor sharp deconstruction of the most popular genre of our times and tone-perfect in its depictions of corrupt governments, dishonest media and hypocritical celebrities. Not to mention how darkly funny as hell it was. “The Boys” is the next evolutionary step in our obsession with superheroes and antiheroes. And Season 2 looks like everything turned up to 11. I for sure am going to rewatch S1 before September 4 and clear my non-existent schedule to binge the hell out of S2.
