Eagles Coach Doug Pederson Tests Positive For Coronavirus
So this obviously sucks. Pederson is the second head coach to contract Corona, after Sean Payton caught it a couple months ago. The fact that Pederson was around other members of the Eagles organization makes it even more troubling. Press Taylor was sent home, Deuce has taken over HC duties, but Doug's health is a million times more important than any hierarchical concerns.
The Phillies (so far) have been able to escape a scrape with the virus. The ultimate fear is that it rips through a clubhouse or locker room. In the 52-years-young Pederson's case, my only hope is that he rests up and gets back to whipping ass. He's a mountain of a man who will undoubtedly lick this thing no problem.
A weekend full of basketball with no positive tests has given me hope that sports are possible. That said, I have no idea how you bubble a football season.
