Wake Up With Rick & Morty’s New Anime Short

I’m not claiming to have much experience with the whole Anime genre. I’m not familiar with a lot of the tropes being paid homage to here. And I can’t exactly say I understand what I just saw. (Is Rick actually Morty and Morty is C137 Rick? It is a paradox? I’m confused.) But I do know that no show on television at the moment has the freedom “Rick and Morty” does to break convention. If they want to create an alternate reality where they’re Anime characters who speak Japanese and Rick sacrifices himself for his grandson, I’m onboard.

Regardless. They can’t start the next season soon enough.
