TV Legend Regis Philbin Has Passed Away At The Age Of 88

Really sad news today as we learned of the passing of the great television personality Regis Philbin. I think probably besides Alex Trebek, Regis shoots right to the top as the most universally liked person to ever exist. No one ever had a bad thing to say about that man except I guess Kelly Ripa, who for some reason wasn't on speaking terms with him since their show ended. Besides that Regis was loved by all.

Whether it was Who Wants to Be a Millionaire or Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee which then turned into Live! With Regis and Kelly his voice and charisma was infectious. It was really tough for that dude to not put a smile on your face. Any day I would skip from school my mom and I ended up watching Regis. It was just part of our routine. Just a super enjoyable human being who never had any controversies or scandals in a time where those seem impossible to avoid.

Dude holds the Guinness World Record for most hours on US television. There are a lot of stupid records these days, but that one is baller. Also his name itself was iconic. You say Regis and you think about no one else but Regis Philbin. That's king shit.

I'll always remember when he threw out the first pitch at the Yankees game as an 80 year old back in 2011. Regis breaking down this pitch will always make me laugh. From the rubber and delivered a strike. What a hero. This is how it's done Fauci.

RIP to a legend. 88 years is a great life man. We can only hope to live that long and be as active as he was in his final years.

2020 fucking sucks.
