Wake Up With Giancarlo Stanton And His 59 Homers From 2017

In honor of Giancarlo Stanton blasting a 459 foot dong off of Max Scherzer last night, I thought it made sense to go into the way back machine and watch all his homers from his monster MVP season in 2017 with the Miami Marlins. 59 homers is a lot, some would say it's a ton. He added 139 RBIs, hit .281, 32 doubles, a .376 OBP, slugged .631, and had an OPS of 1.007. None of his homers were cheap ones either, like his bomb last night those balls may still be going. When he's healthy and not in pinstripes he's one of the most fun players to watch in baseball because of his brute strength. The guys power is insane and when he connects it goes a long way. Obviously now that he's on the Yankees I don't root for him like I did when he was in Miami, but it's still not hard to want the guy to not be a total bust. Last season was a lost year for Stanton, and he's been on mostly every "Comeback Player Of The Year" list that I've seen. After watching him blast off Mad Max last night, wouldn't shock me if he had a hot 60 games.

Happy Opening Day, friends.
