Netflix's Docuseries On The FBI Taking Down The Mafia In NYC During The 70s Looks Unreal

Uhhhhhhh, yeah, you can sign me up for this one. All you've got to say is "documentary on the ______ family is coming out next week" and fill in the blank with Gambino, Bonanno, Colombo, Genovese, or Lucchese family and I'll be watching that doc IMMEDIATELY.

SOURCE-Netflix has released the trailer for Fear City, a three-part series about the Mafia takedown in New York City during the 1970s. The series premieres July 22nd on the streaming platform.

Created by the same production company as the docuseries Don’t F*ck With Cats, Fear City explores a derelict time in New York’s history, where the five Mafia families took control of Manhattan. The series follows the FBI’s concerted effort to take down all five families at the same time.

It appears the usual cast of characters will be involved in the interviews. John Allite, Michael Franzese and Lin Delvecchio are all former Mafia members or as I like to call them, rats. Their stories are often reported to be fabricated and/or straight-up lies used to profit off of their times as low-ranking soldiers in families after they broke omerta to get out of jail early.

Should be good nonetheless.
