Wake Up With One Of The Best Point Guard Duels Of The Season

If there was any doubt that Ja Morant was going to be a stud at the next level, it didn't take long for that to look pretty silly. On October 27th, in the early stage of the 2019-20 season, we were blessed with one of the best point guard duels of the year. Kyrie with his new team was the same Kyrie offensive wizard we've seen throughout his career with a decent 37/7/7 with 5 3PM. You could tell he was motivated to give Morant his "welcome to the NBA moment".

Well, Morant was more than up for the challenge. He finished with a pretty good 30/9 himself as well as one of the biggest defensive plays of the game locking down Kyrie in the final seconds. From there the rest was history. Morant went on to have a ROY season and carry the Grizzlies to the 8 seed. Kyrie....well his season went a little differently, that's all I'll say.

But there is no denying this matchup gave us the goods and I don't think it's outrageous to suggest there are many more of these in our future.
