Photos Of Casual Hitler Looking Like A Model Is Really Screwing With My Preconceived Hitler Notions

Daily Mail – In lederhosen and knee-high socks, Adolf Hitler lounges against a tree in a pose more twit than tyrant.

It is little surprise the Fuhrer later banned the absurdly camp woodland snap, calling it ‘beneath one’s dignity’.

But the rare archive photo, and several other portraits as comical as they are chilling, have been discovered in a Hitler ‘fan magazine’ from the Thirties.

Souvenir-hunting Pioneer Corps private Alf Roberts, from Barnsley, Yorkshire, brought [the fan magazine] home along with a German medal and bayonet.

Now, 70 years later, military historians have had it translated and are about to publish it in Britain.

[Fan magazine author] Von Shirach gushes: ‘We who have had the privilege of being able to work with him have come to worship and love him.’

He describes the mass-murdering monster as ‘honest, steadfast and modest’ displaying ‘strength and kindness’ and whose ‘soul brushed against the stars’.

You know what man, I have to admit I see the “soul brushed against the stars” thing 100%. That focused stare even as he’s posing in the beautiful woods of Germany for his fan magazine…that’s a man with real emotional depth and convictions befitting his adoring fans. The real problem is just not hiring someone better to handle wardrobe. Jorts and knee high socks? Of course that look is “beneath your dignity,” it’s beneath anyone’s dignity outside of Minnesotan tourists in fanny packs at Disneyworld. I’m not saying Hitler had another career as a model in him to go with his painting aspirations and lucrative work in mass genocide but splurging a few more Deutsche marks on a better stylist for Hitler Teen Beat might have saved our chosen friends a whole lot of trouble. How ironic that they’ve become the ones stereotyped for being cheap.

Also I came across this when Googling around and it’s just a couple of guys playing General MacArthur and Hitler having a pleasant chit chat before some historic reenactment or shoot or something.

I’ve known Hitler, I’ve watched Hitler, and while you may have the Charlie Chaplin mustache and emo bangs, you sir are no Hitler.
