Early Duggs Gets the Worm: Toledo Sweeps Morning Duggleheader, Completes Undefeated Regular Season

If you set your alarm early this morning, you were treated to some high quality MACtion. Gus Duggerton and the Toledo Rockets concluded the 2019 regular season with a pair of victories over Ball State and Western Michigan. Let's see how these games went down:

Game 1: Toledo 34, Ball State 6 - The Cardinals started the game off with a pair of field goals, but they had zero success on the offensive end after that. Literally, zero. The Duggs Defense had one of the more impressive showings we have ever seen.

The top highlight from this one was actually one of Coach Duggs' lone miscue. After mastering the option last night, America's Coach bragged about it. And then this happened...

Game 2: Toledo 40, Western Michigan 23 - Things didn't start off so hot for the Rockets. WMU hung around for the majority of the first half, and with a chance to tie the game, the kicking woes for Mr. Commenter continued.

But things got emotional as the game went along, as the coach's son came up with a monumental moment in his career...

And to put in the icing on the cake, RB Bam Bam Calloway continued boosting his Heisman resume:

This then cemented the win over the Broncos.

After successfully completing the regular season schedule, now the focus shifts ahead to this afternoon's MAC Championship Game (4:15 PM ET) live from HQ. It's the Rockets taking on Bowling Green, as Toledo is one road block away from Coach Duggs appearing in his third straight BCS Title Game. We'll see you then.
