Wake Up With Linsanity

Was there a more exciting run in recent NBA history than Linsanity? Who cares about the Warriors Dynasty, who cares about LeBron making 8 straight Finals or whatever. I don't think anything has come close to what we saw with Linsanity in the 2011-12 season. It was insane and that might even be underselling it. Jeremy Lin was this unstoppable force that came out of nowhere and for that stretch you can't convince me he wasn't the best player in the NBA. His month of February that season was arguably the best thing to happen to the Knicks franchise in decades. What was awesome was he embraced NYC too. He wanted to be a Knick.

In fact, he would go on to say he actually begged his agent to get the Rockets to LOWER their offer sheet to the Knicks would match. Who does that? Who makes it to the NBA, becomes an international star overnight, and in their first opportunity to cash in he wants to make less money so he can stay where he is. The Rockets obviously didn't, the Knicks didn't match and Linsanity was over in a blink of an eye.

But NBA history will always have that month of February. The definition of pure electricity.
