Akon Is Ruining The Song "Locked Up" By Featuring Tekashi 6ix9ine On The Remix

On episode 65 of Million Dollaz Worth of Game "When The Bitch Come Out", Wallo and Gillie discussed Akon's remixing the song with a known snitch Tekashi 6ix9ine. Unlike our guys from 808 & Smokebreaks Podcast, Jetski and Ev, Wallo and Gillie are not fans of Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Here's a clip of Akon and Tekashi working together in the studio.

I audibly laughed at Akon's caption. Tekashi's time in jail was far from ordinary. He was transferred several times for his protection and he knew he was getting out because he became an informant. I don't want to act like I'm hard in anyway shape or form. I'm from the suburbs of Maryland and played lacrosse in high school. Everything I ever got arrested for was because of my own doing and I've never ever been in the position to tell on someone so I'm not gonna say "I would never snitch a day in my life". Wallo actually talked about people snitching on Episode 62.

Will Akon make a boat load of money from making this song? Yeah, probably. Tekashi 6ix9ine gets a bunch of clicks and has a billion white kids who are 13 year olds who follow him who don't care about street code or anything like that. But I do think that money comes with some consequences. Akon is going to lose the respect from a bunch of real people who served time or people who weren't just in gangs for some exposure like 6ix9ine. He's gonna lose respect from OGs like Gillie and Wallo and a bunch of other prominent people in the rap game. Imagine how much better this remix would've been if Akon waited for someone like Bobby Shmurda to get out of jail. Shmurda is sitting in prison longer than he would have so his boy wouldn't have to.

I guess Akon has to do whatever he has to do to be a little relevant because he hasn't been in over a decade but I think this is a weak move. I know I personally won't be listening to this bull shit.
