Wake Up With David Bote's Walk Off Pinch Hit Grand Slam To Beat The Nationals

Does it get any better than a pitch hit, walk-off Grand Slam on Sunday Night Baseball in Wrigley Field? In terms of a regular season moment, it really doesn't get any better than that. David Both became a Cubs legend back in 2018 with this shot to dead center that almost gave Matty V a heart attack. As awesome as the home run, the bat flip, the running around the bases was, the call by Vasgersian was just as cool. But back to the homer. Down to his last strike, Bote absolutely crushes this ball, just watch Matt Wieters reaction behind the plate. That guy just knows when a walk off homer has been hit right in his face (see Encarnaction, Edwin). He knows it and is trying to get to the showers before the ball lands. The only thing quicker than Wieters heading out was Bote sprinting around the bases like Usain Bolt. The emotion from that homer was awesome. You love to see a young player show up for his team and just live in the moment. The celebration, ripping the jersey off fantastic too. A really cool clip here and something he'll remember for the rest of his life. Absolute BOMB.
