Who Has the Best Baseball Name From the 2020 MLB Draft?

This is a great list of the best baseball names compiled from this year's shortened MLB Draft. Usually the baseball draft produces some great names and storylines just due to its sheer volume, but this year we only had five rounds to work with. Luckily, there were still some great-named ballplayers picked this year — but whose baseball name is the best?

I feel like everybody and their mother has been talking about Blaze Jordan the past couple days, so it feels like a copout to pick him. Plus, he might end up going to college anyway.

I'm certainly partial to former Tennessee Vol Alerick Soularie, but that's more of just a cool name rather than a baseball name. I liken a baseball name much to how former Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart described obscenity when he said, "I know it when I see it." I can't describe to you exactly what a baseball name should be, but I know it when I see it.

And from that list, there is one which absolutely jumps off the page: Daxton Fulton. The 6'6", 225-pound left-handed pitcher from Mustang, Oklahoma has what has to be — outside of the aforementioned Blaze Jordan — the best baseball name in this class. The olds are going to be absolutely furious when Major league Baseball is overrun with MacKenzies, Blazes and Daxtons, but I am here for it.

Honorable Mention:

— Jagger Haynes

— Burl Carraway

— Hudson Haskin
