Brad Stevens And Ernie Johnson Shooting The Shit Is The Perfect Quarantine Content

Well wasn't that just an absolutely delightful way to spend 10 minutes. By pretty much all accounts 2020 has been a disastrous year, but one small sliver of light is the fact that we are getting Brad way more involved in technology. I think this is either the second or third time we've seen him on a Zoom call during quarantine and it delivers every single time. I can't remember a time when he was so willing go to on camera and shoot the shit. Normally he only cares about getting better. That's it. He's like a basketball robot or something. It's why we love him. But now it's like one of his kids showed him that the internet exists and now he's everywhere and I for one cannot get enough.

Even when Ernie twisted the knife and talked about the Butler losses, Brad still took it in stride with his classic Brad smile. Then when he started to talk about Gordon you saw how his eyes lit up. Basketball soulmates like you read about. Hearing him then gush about Kemba I couldn't help but think about everything we heard from Brad about a previous point guard. You can tell he actually likes these guys just by how he talks about them and the joy he has. That's not all that surprising since there has been zero drama since Day 1.

I understand some people may hate the Celtics mostly out of envy and that's OK. It's impossible to hate Brad. He's just so goddamn likable. I'd say of all the NBA coaches Brad comes off as some regular dude who loved hoops growing up but never had the talent to go pro but has this basketball genius about him. I don't know if part of it is him being Midwest Nice or what, but if you are someone that hates Brad Stevens that just says a whole lot more about who you are than who he is. Same thing with Ernie Johnson. He might very well be the most beloved man in the entire media landscape. Ernie rules. So hearing them chat it up for 10 minutes was just what I needed to see this morning to get my day started off on the right foot. I could listen to these two for hours, you can take that to the bank.

But remember, Brad Stevens is much more than just a handsome fella who loves a good Dad joke. Let us not forget he's an ATO mastermind and is going to go down as one of the best coaching hires in franchise history. Spot the lie.
