Pour One Out for the Loss of the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl

One of, if not the best-named bowl games in college football is reportedly no longer, as Bad Boy Mowers has dropped its sponsorship of the Gasparilla Bowl. What a sad day this is for college football and the greater Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area.

The Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl was not only the best-named bowl game in college football, but it also used to be played at Tropicana Field on the worst turf in professional sports. Everything about this game was simply top-notch and it is a damn shame it has been taken from us.

We also recently lost the artist formerly known as the Cheez-It Bowl, however the brand saved us all from a bowl season without it as it nabbed the sponsorship of the former Camping World Bowl in Orlando.

With all these sponsors dropping like flies, it's a real shame there isn't a company out there that's a great brand which resonates with a college football audience who wants to sponsor a bowl game. You'd think an opportunity like that would be too good to pass up for one of these television properties.

It sure would be a shame if we got this one. A bowl game at a pirate festival in Florida is way better than Mobile, Alabama in December, anyway.

The people want the Barstool Sports Gasparilla Bowl.
