(SourceJon Hamm completed a 30-day rehab program for alcohol abuse, just days before the premiere of the last season of “Mad Men.” We’re told Hamm checked himself into Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut at the end of February. It’s a high-end facility.

The final season is already in the can.   Hamm’s people tell TMZ, “With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward.”

Did people know this? I feel like this was totally swept under the rug, either that or I’m not up to date on my Jon Hamm news. Sort of strange right? I mean if he has a real problem I’m happy he got help and is getting better, but I feel like if you’re Jon Hamm you can’t really have a drinking problem. I say that in jest but that’s just how my brain always processes celebrities and celebrity life. Like as a rule, if you’re rich and skinny and good looking you can’t have a drinking problem. It’s not a problem, it just means you’re a fun awesome guy. For example, you know when you’ve been drinking too much and you can feel your body dying and you’re fat and gross and you’ve spent all your money. You look in the mirror and say to yourself, get your shit together man, clean it up. Those little pep talks that all regular guys go through at some point in their life post college. Well when Jon Hamm looks in the mirror he sees Jon Hamm. That’s Don Draper. That guy never needs to “clean it up” or “get his shit together”, it’s already in tip top shape. You look awesome, ladies love you, and you have a ton of money. So no, I don’t think Jon Hamm has a drinking problem, I think Jon Hamm was just tired of partying and needed a quick breather. And if that makes me an ignorant moron, well actually I’m definitely an ignorant moron so there is no second part of this saying, I know what I just wrote is pretty stupid even though in a weird way it makes perfect sense.
